Write for the LovingSex Journal.

The Journal publishes long-form, credentialed pieces about sex, intimacy, and bodies — the kind of writing readers can't find on most sex retailer blogs. We pay our contributors. We promote them. And we work with people whose work is going to last.

What we publish

  • 1,000–2,500 word essays and guides on intimate life, by people with real expertise — sexologists, sex educators, sex therapists, somatic coaches, pelvic floor PTs, sex-positive writers with established audiences.
  • Topics: anything in our wheelhouse. Perimenopause, libido, post-trauma intimacy, partner communication, anatomy, beginner toy guides, technique, body literacy, sexual health.
  • Voice: warm, knowledgeable, sex-positive, never crass, never clinical. Smart-friend-over-coffee, not textbook.

What we don't publish

  • Anonymous personal essays without expertise
  • "10 sex tips for spring" listicle filler
  • Anything that requires us to vouch for credentials we can't verify
  • AI-generated drafts (we work with humans)

What we pay

  • $100 flat per published piece
  • 10% affiliate commission on attributable product sales from outbound links in your article
  • Byline + photo + bio + link to your work

For top-tier writers and editorial-board contributors, rates go higher and the relationship becomes ongoing — by invitation.

What we ask

  • That you have actual credentials (degree, certification, license, or established audience). Not strict on what kind, but you should be able to credibly speak on your topic.
  • That you read our voice guide before pitching (it's in the application).
  • That you accept editorial review. We're light editors, not heavy ones, but we'll suggest changes.

How to pitch

Free text, ~50 words. Degree, certification, license, established audience — whatever's relevant.
Rough estimate of total reach across platforms (newsletter, social, etc.).
2–3 sentences on what you'd write and why our audience needs it.
A published piece, or the most relevant thing you've written.
We read every application. Two-week response window.
