Dr. Lonnie Barbach

Dr. Lonnie Barbach is on the clinical faculty of the University of California Medical School. She is widely recognized as an innovator in the field of human sexuality and one of the early voices in popularizing women’s self-knowledge of pleasure through clinical, accessible writing.

Her landmark book For Yourself became a foundational text for a generation of women learning to claim their own sexual experience. She has gone on to author and co-author additional volumes on couples, intimacy, and the long life of partnered desire.
